NPR has a new Middle East correspondent

NPR yesterday (in an internal memo) announced that they are appointing Ruth Sherlock as their new Middle East correspondent.  Of course, Sherlock does not know Arabic and among her scoops when she was at the Daily Telegraph was that story that Ali Mamlouk (which she co-wrote with none other than Carol Malouf) was under house arrest.  This is among her investigative reports from Beirut for the lousy Daily Telegraph.
